Simple Shortcut Recipes

Gooseberry Patch has done it again...

Whether you are busy getting ready for someone's golden 3rd birthday,

or hunting Easter eggs,

or playing that first soccer game of the season,

or traveling for that full-time off-farm job or heading to the fields for the start of planting season, Gooseberry Patch's Simple Shortcut Recipes: More than 225 Simplified Recipes Plus Time-Saving Tips for Today's Busy Cook! (Everyday Cookbook Collection) is just what you need.

This cookbook could not have arrived at a better time at our house.  After surviving 3 months of what felt like non-stop work travel, it was time for this momma to return to the kitchen and as much as I love being in the kitchen cooking and baking, there isn't always tons of time to do so which is why I love this cookbook.  When it first arrived at our house, I made a list of at least 15 recipes that immediately jumped out as recipes for the pigpen to try and easy to make... which are two things essential with anything at this pigpen.  And more keeping jumping out at me.

In the Simple Soups, Salads, and Sandwiches section, there is the  Yummy Quick Taco Soup,

Fast-Fix Sides & Breads is where I found Easy Pierogie Casserole

Dinner Express brought  Pork & Sauerkraut

and Pepperoncini Chicken

Oh-So-Easy Entertaining provided the recipe for Crabbies

and Taffy Apple Bars from Piece-of-Cake Desserts definitely did not disappoint.

Over the course of the coming days, I will be sharing these yummy recipes and if that isn't quite a big enough fix for you, I will also be giving away a copy of this amazing cookbook thanks to Gooseberry Patch!
